Love is all around this month!

February may be the shortest month of the year, but there are two holidays that happen this month. Valentine’s Day, President’s Day, both take place in February! There are sure to be many activities taking place within your community so update the Community Calendar and connect with your neighbors!

DEERFIELD LAKE TREASURER NEEDED The Homeowners' Association is in need of a Treasurer. The position must be filled by a homeowner. Please contact us via dlhoa.comments@yahoo.com, if you are interested. If you have expertise in accounting our a financial background, please apply. It is not a large time commitment and you will be saving the Association a considerable amount of money if an outside firm needs to be hired.

Notice: Several residents have contacted me about not receiving a dues letter this year. The dues are still due by December 31, 2011. There is a grace period, allowed in the by-laws, that extends the date to pay the dues without a late fee until the 31st of January 2012. The dues are $265 a year and should be mailed to the post office box address below. Deerfield Lake HOA PO Box # 360682 Strongsville, OH 44136 All dues received after the 31st of January will have a late fee assessed. The late fee is determined by the board. In the past it has been $25. Also, monthly is due until the bill is paid. The interest was simple interest at the rate of 10% per year. I do not know if that is the current rate.
